* Grotesquerie

Come one, come all, now gather 'round
And give me your attention, please
For we have searched the world and found
The most amazing oddities
Attractions you won't want to miss
A show diverting and diverse
The most astounding sights in this
Or any other universe!
The price one dollar, come and see
It's all in the Grotesquerie

Such wonders wait behind the screen
We know you'll stand for nothing less
Exhibits like you've never seen
Real honesty! Real tenderness!
A specimen of untold worth
Endangered since the world began
Perhaps the last one left on earth
Homo cogitus, thinking man!
The price one dollar, come and see
It's all in the Grotesquerie

And even more incredible
Just step right up and you will meet
The sickeningly typical
The kids who kill on any street
The women chained to shiny rocks
The dimwits of Caucasia
The chicle-chomping giggle-box
Her babble will amasia!
The price one dollar, come and see
It's all in the Grotesquerie

A not-to-be-forgotten thrill
Your money back if you don't feel
Completely stunned and slightly ill
From what these curios reveal
We learn this in the carney biz
At first, to our astonishment
The thing about the fun-house is
The mirrors are not really bent
The price one dollar, come and see
It's all in the Grotesquerie
