The Jimi Hendrix Experience

Electric Ladyland
1968

Hendrix' stature as a guitar innovator, and his showmanship, are unquestioned.  Some, however, question his technique.  The secret of Hendrix is that his mastery of the instrument was such that he did not need great technique to make great music.

Jimi also had something to say to the destructive elements of his time, and all times, in House Burning Down:

Well someone stepped from the ground
He was nineteen miles high
He shout We tired and disgusted
So we paint red through the sky
I said The truth is straight ahead
So don't burn yourself instead
You've got to learn instead of burn
Hear what I said
